One of the state’s most wanted sex offenders was arrested Thursday in northwest Houston

Christopher Soloya Jr., 30, was taken into custody without incident after authorities received a tip in the case.

Authorities did not release the details about the arrest, including where and when they captured Soloya.

A member of  Tango Blast Houstone gang, Soloya was wanted for parole violation and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

In June 2007, he was arrested in Houston for burglarizing the apartment of a woman with the intent to commit a sexual assault, officials said. He was convicted and sent to prison. In March 2015, Soloya was released on parole.
