Houston News: Woman dies in officer-involved shooting in Spring

A deputy constable shot and killed a woman who pulled out a gun on him and a fellow officer Monday night in Spring, authorities said.

Deputies with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office were asked by another law enforcement agency to check a home along Spring Dane near Cypresswood southeast of Spring, officials confirmed.

When the deputies arrived, officials said. a woman at the scene pulled a gun on them. At least one of the deputies fired at the woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deputies were not injured.

Detectives with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office homicide unit are investigating the incident.
